The simple things are often the best…
Whether its messing about by the river, exploring rock pools with the children or enjoying a sausage sizzle on the beach, it’s all for free on your doorstep.
- Rockpooling provides hours of fun and there is always something to see and discover… a net and a bucket is all you need… and we usually have them here for you to borrow…
- The beaches down here have proper sandcastle building sand… great architectural structures are there to be created… why not nip down to the beach early evening if the weather is nice, take a few suasages and a little porti-barbecue and see what has been built that day… go for an evening dip and let the children wear themselves out before be.
- The Roseland has lots of picturesque little seaside villages like Veryan, St.Mawes,Portscatho and Portloe – lovely to wander and explore
- Gorgeous river walks down on the Fal or the Percuil… both less than 10 minutes away, the enchanting setting of Turnaware Bar on the Fal is a magical place to while away a day… taking a picnic and some swimming gear or a flask and a rug in winter… watch the boats and amazing wildlife… go in the evening for an amazing sunset…
- Maybe go for a potter along the coast path… you may be lucky enough to see wild seals off Towan Beach, there are beaches you can stop at along the way to fit in a bit of paddling, rockpooling or swimming…
- Maybe a night under the stars ticks your box either here on the farm or down by the river…
- From summer 2011 we will have a fully equipped tent and overnight camp kit here for you to hire for the evening so you can do the sleeping under ther stars thingy with the kids… or without… and none of the hassle of having to pack stuff to bring with you. We’ll set it up for you and provide all you need including a sausage sizzle supper… more details and price to follow… (sorry -this bit isn’t entirely free) but great fun!
