Things to do

Explore The Roseland

Have a look at the Roseland Peninsula on the map: we’re a slim green finger of Cornwall surrounded by the south coast’s protected seas. Our climate is unusually mild, which encourages all kinds of rare and exotic plants to blossom, and birds to visit.

Pollaughan Farm and our lovely Self Catering Cottages have the luxury of being within a mile of Porthcunick Beach, Portscatho and a few miles from St.Mawes.

You’re never far from the water here: whether that means safe sandy beaches and secluded coves, some of the southwest coast path’s loveliest stretches or a big blue playground just made for sailing, windsurfing, kayaks and canoes, all of which you can sample and hire close by. (Don’t forget the River Fal, either – click the link below – with bags of ways to enjoy the beautiful tree-lined creeks and byways that connect Falmouth with Truro.)

Inland you’ll find lovely villages, local crafts and galleries, some great places to eat and drink and plenty of places, like farm shops and farmers’ markets, selling nationally-renowned local produce. At Pollaughan we’re just a mile from Portscatho, a fishing village with a shop and bakery which opens seven days a week, as well as a butcher, a pub and a post office.
