Sometimes the most relaxing thing you can do on holiday is not have to worry about where your next meal's coming from.We can even make sure there's a fresh meal waiting when you arrive on a Friday to make you feel on holiday straight away.

During the week ,when time permits....Valerie will be delighted to whip up something to make sure everyone gets a break from the shopping, preparing, cooking and clearing up thingy which can make a self catering holiday feel not much like a holiday!

She is not  fully trained cordon bleu style  ,just a family cook who loves to cook simple honest farmhouse food, on her aga, for her family and her visitors.She is passionate about the provenance of the food she buys, will buy what she can locally and only use what is in season, so no strawberries in January, and where we can the veggies and meat will be home grown.

Light suppers, freshly-made dinners, farmhouse breakfasts, homemade cakes and yummy desserts: we make and bring them to your door. We try to make sure everything as far as possible is either grown or reared by us, or by someone we know and trust, and, with advance notice, we can cater for special dietary needs, too.

In the event you would like a super duper three course meal that is no problem and we'll work with you to make a very special evening, but you will need to have pre-booked it before you come

Various other meals-related things sound a bit small-printish, but, briefly, meals are generally available Monday to Thursday, we will give you availability of meals and the menu for that week over your first weekend here, and they ideally need to be ordered 24 hours ahead, but there's no meal service on weekends, Bank Holidays or over Christmas and New Year.

And lastly ,but importantly.....the cooking is very much an added extra when we can, but sometimes we can't...so as the service is totally dependent on Valerie, there will inevitably be times when she is unavailable or things we do as a family and on the farm means we can't offer meals. This may be more so in school holidays .We do not offer a restaurant type service  as you'd find in a hotel or pub although if you have ordered food or a special evening before coming we will do our utmost to deliver on that promise....

In the event we are not here or cannot do what you require there are local caterers and chefs servicing holiday visitors who we can put you in touch with. Jamie Beetham is a great local chef who will supply super duper three course suppers for that very special occasion or will cover us if we are not here www.beethamfood.co.uk subject to his own bookings.
