Fun's not compulsory, but it's hard to avoid having!

It doesn't seem much to ask, does it?  -  safe ,fun and plenty to do for children and young people, and enough extras to smooth the edges off looking after babies and toddlers away from home.

We know that planning a holiday with small children can feel like planning to cross the Alps by elephant. So we try and cut down your hassle-factor: proper wooden cots, highchairs and sand-friendly three-wheel pushchairs, backpacks for walks and, for your safely-fenced, family-sized garden, ride-on toys and a mini-trampoline  (We can provide monitors and food blenders, too, and all our cottages have child-friendly plates, beakers and cutlery.)

Pollaughan Farm will give you the luxury of a really child friendly holiday that does what it says on the 'tin' and that means not only a proper baby and toddler friendly holiday cottage but  through to teenagers and beyond:  and where better than within a mile of the Roseland Peninsula's best sandy beaches and within striking distance of two beautiful seaside villages of Portscatho and St.Mawes!

Every day there's animal-feeding and egg-collecting to join in, and elsewhere on the farm there's a giant trampoline, an all-weather tennis court as well as friendly donkeys, sheep and ducks. Older children can camp in the fields, fly kites, or hook up with our friendly local sailing school for sailing, kayaking or windsurfing lessons: the beach is 20 minutes across the fields, five minutes by car. (We reckon they'd also like to know that all cottages have free WiFi …  )

Exhaustion and contentment are more contagious than a cold: the lovely glug of the evening's first wine leaving the bottle never sounds sweeter than when accompanied by the rhythm of a happily-sleeping child's breath … 

I want to stick my feet to the floor so i don't have to go home...
