COMMUNICATIONS

There is free broadband wi-fi available in each cottage.

There is no land line in the cottages but we are very happy for you to leave our home number as an emergency contact - 01872 580150.

Being a rural/coastal area mobile phone reception can be variable according to network. Orange is good, Vodaphone and O2 are reasonable on site but not in all the cottages, other networks limited but this is always changing as new masts go up.

PARKING

There is plenty of parking for at least two cars per cottage on level hard standing, adjacent to or very nearby each cottage. Extra cars boats and trailers can be safely parked here on the farm but not necessarily directly outside the cottage.

FACILITIES AND PLAY

We have an All Weather Tennis Court which was built in 2006 and there is a full 14ft diameter Trampoline with netted sides, for young and old alike.

The Wildlife Lake has seats so you can while away the time watching birds and wildlife.

You are welcome to fly kites/camp in the fields.

BABY EQUIPMENT

We have a number of  wooden cots, highchairs and three wheeler pushchairs freely available for your use whilst here.

Please make sure you let us know on booking if these are required otherwise their availability cannot be guaranteed. If pre-booked we will ensure there is one here ready for you.

We replace our wooden cots every three years to ensure they are in really good nick and have enough wooden cots to allow one for each cottage and also a couple of spare travel cots. If you require more than one cot, provision will depend on how many others are needed that week in the other cottages.

We can also provide a small selection of baby/toddler toys/books and can provide a ride-on toy and a mini trampoline for the garden.

PETS

We do not generally accept pet dogs but we will always accept Guide and Assistance dogs.We may, in exceptional circumstances allow a dog to be brought depending on the time of year, type and age of dog and cottage required, but only under very stringent conditions.Email or phone us for more info...

BEACHES

The beaches here on Roseland are some of the loveliest in Cornwall and being on the South Coast are generally calmer and gentler than those on the north coast so perfect for very small children.

Most have lots of rock pools to discover and they never really get that busy so lots of space for everyone.

Our nearest beach, Porthcurnick is the pic in our brochure, and is a lovely sandy cove just a quick 5 mins in the car or a 20 walk across the fields following a public footpath from Pollaughan.

Within just 10 minutes drive there are several more beautiful sandy beaches, all quite different in character and offering something slightly different.

ACTIVITIES

Walking- The stunning coast path of the Roseland is just a 20 min walk across the fields and we have plenty of walking guides for the area for your use. Walkers often enjoy a completely car free week from here.

Sailing, Windsurfing and Kayaking hire and tuition can all be arranged locally for children and adults. We have a little RYA sailing school just a couple of miles away, situated in a river inlet, not far from St. Mawes and the open sailing waters of the Carrick Roads. Contact Roseland Paddle and Sail -Tel: Bob on 01872 580964, web: www.paddleandsail.com

There are several cycle trails reasonably nearby and in a variety of settings where hire for all ages can be arranged.

Tennis –We have an all weather tennis court here on site for your use.
