Enjoy beautiful beaches and Coast Path of the Roseland Peninsula on your Cornish beach holiday.
The Roseland has many beautiful sandy coves and beaches, and a Coast Path to set you tingling with its beauty. The luxury of staying here at Pollaughan Cottages is its close proximity to many beautiful beaches.Within a 5 – 10 minute car ride you can be at any one of several sandy beaches a different one for each day of the week, all quite different and all very beautiful with lots of rockpools and a gentle slope into the sea at low tide.
If you don’t mind a bit of a walk you can find quiet coves off the beaten track even in the height of summer and don’t forget you can have lots of fun even in the cooler Spring and Autumn/Winter months… just add a coat, a woolly hat and a flask of hot chocolate…for the perfect Roseland day out…
Porthcurnick Beach – across the fields it takes just 15-20 minutes to walk from here or it’s less than a mile by car so near enough to pop home for lunch, give someone a quick nap or maybe nip down in the evening for a quick sausage sizzle. Here you will find the fab food at the seasonally opening Hidden Hut Beach Cafe made famous by Caroline Quinten’s ‘ Cornwall ‘on ITV.Walk to Porthcurnick Beach from Pollaughan across the fields. From the beach you can join the Coastal Path and you can walk as far as you want in either direction, and if we are here and have pre-arranged it, we can always pick you up if you are too tired to get home
Towan Beach . Our absolute favourite come summer and winter ! Just the other side of Portscatho is another lovely sandy beach with fabulous rockpooling and lovely sand to play with. The Thirstea Van serves gorgeous hot chocolate, sandwiches, teas ,coffee and cake ( seasonally opening)
Pendower Beach about 6 minutes in the car or an hours walk on the coast path… the longest beach on the Peninsula by far it’s about half a mile long and sandy all the way !
