Food

We are very lucky to have plenty of local options to keep you out of the kitchen and trying our local cuisine!

Fabulous local chefs who act as mobile caterers will also provide very competitive ready meals for you to eat, chill or freeze but you will need to pre-book as these can be very popular.

We highly recommend  Haydn Trenerry – The Chef on the Roseland

Jamie Beetham of  Beethamfood

William Marsden of Pencoose Pantry

LOCAL FISH & CHIPS  are available in Portscatho on Friday nights between about 4.30 and 7.15 pm (or when he runs out) by the main car park. Also in St.Mawes most days.

TATAMS – local stonebaked Pizzas available some weekdays in Portscatho, also from the St.Mawes hotel most days. (seasonal)

The Hidden Hut on Porthcurnick Beach – less than a mile or a walk over the fields (seasonal opening)

There are so many great places to eat but here are 3 of our favourites:

Driftwood – Michelin star and a hotel and view to die for ( 1 mile)

Idle Rocks in St.Mawes – chic hotel and views over the water ( 5 miles )

Kings Head at Ruan – Gastro pub with fab locally produced food ( 6 miles)

Freshly homemade cakes can be baked for your arrival at the time of booking. Let us know if it’s for a birthday or special occasion and we can ensure to have it ready for you special day.

You can choose from –  LemonDrizzle cake at £8.00 or Irish Wheaten Bread and Cheese at £10.00.

There is local farm shop, Curgurell Farm Shop just up the road and there are local takeaway options nearby as well.
